SHOW HUNTER PONY YOUNGSTOCK CHALLENGE
Prize Fund €750
Delivered by Horse Sport Ireland and funded under National Breeding Services by the Department of Agriculture, Food, and the Marine
RULES AND CONDITIONS:
- Open to Show Hunter Pony Youngstock: Yearling colt, gelding or filly, 2- or 3-year-old gelding or filly not exceeding 150cms likely to make a child’s Hunter Pony.
- This competition is open to ponies registered in a World Breeding Federation for Sport Horses (WBFSH) studbook or a Department of Agriculture Food and The Marine (DAFM) approved pony studbook with recorded breeding.
- Ponies with Breed Unknown (UNK) are not eligible to compete in this competition.
- The same pony is not eligible to compete in both the show pony and show hunter pony competitions.
- Turnout should be in accordance with show hunter pony young stock classes.
AIM OF CLASS:
To promote and encourage the breeding and retention of quality ponies for the showing, eventing, and leisure markets.
Breeders Prize: €50 to the breeder of the winning pony. Under the rules of the Breeding Grant fund, breeder’s prizes can only be paid to breeders resident in Ireland.
A prize will be presented for combination of best turned-out animal and most suitably dressed handler.
No entries permitted on day of event.
